Preeti Pawar smashes Jordan's Silina Alhasanat
Preeti Pawar stuns Jordan's Silina in the women's 54 kg category to reach the quarterfinal of the boxing championship in Asian Games on Sunday. The 19-year old clinched the victory by playing in a strategic way and smashing her Jordanian opponent.
Preeti's strategy this time was to be on the defensive mode initially and then unleash her attacks.
The match at the beginning was placid. However, soon the Indian went on the offensive and won two rounds easily as she landed perfect jabs and hooks on her opponent.
Silina's performance was great initially however, she was unable to go on as the referee have her two standing counts in the second and third rounds. Hence, the Indian boxer scored the win.
