PSG reportedly wanting Rashford for Mbappe’s replacement

The Ligue 1 winners are eyeing the Manchester United star to bolster their forward line.

PSG’s all-time top scorer Kylian Mbappe’s contract runs down this summer and the club is said to be desperate to find a replacement if an extension is not possible. Spanish giants Real Madrid is reported to be Mbappe's next destination. As a case, the Parisians are looking at Marcus Rashford of Manchester United to fill his void. This is a new development to the ongoing Mbappe saga stretching from last year.

The 26-year-old is a long-term transfer target for PSG and they wish to land him next season. However, the Englishman's contract runs until 2028 having penned a new 5-year-deal in 2023 with his transfer proving to be costly even for the cash-rich side. Unlike Mbappe, Rashford has proven to be inconsistent after scoring just five goals in all competitions so far. In addition, PSG are also said to be targeting AC Milan’s Rafael Leão for a different option.
