Argentine star and PSG forward Lionel Messi will reportedly be returning to Barcelona this summer.
According to  ESPN the 35-year-old Super Star will make a stunning return to Camp Nou. There have been numerous speculations regarding the Argentine’s future with PSG with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
Barcelona has cleared its intention of returning their former captain and legendary forward to the club. President Joan Laporta left-back Jordi Alba and marketing vice-president Juli Guiu held talks with Messi.
The only blockage in the way of his return is the current financial situation of Barca. Reports say that they had already discussed with La Liga to allow more financial flexibility.
La Liga President Javier Tebas has warned Barca to reduce their wage bill by 200 million euros. In that situation, the Argentine hero will have to make a significant wage cut to seal a reunion with Barcelona.   
Messi has scored 20 goals and 19 assists around the year for PSG. He proved himself to be one of the finest players in history during his 16 seasons at Camp Nou. The Argentine superstar has scored 672 goals and  303 assists in 778 games. Football Espana reported from Spain that they are not only confident of the reunion of Messi with the club but also with the signing of Ilkay Gundogan.
Due to their financial crisis, Barca is expected to look out for a free-agent new midfielder due to financial complications. Similarly, last summer, they signed Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie on free transfers.
