Steve is expected to play three matches for Sussex. These matches will be away games against Worcestershire, and Leicestershire, and a home match against Glamorgan.

Cheteshwar Pujara will get a chance to observe Steve Smith’s preparation ahead of the World Test Championship Final starting on 7th June. Steve Smith gears up to play three county matches for Sussex in the red ball, as a part of his preparation for the forthcoming Ashes and WTC Final. Pujara will be leading Sussex and go to bat at number three while Smith will bat at number four.  It is going to be no doubt a high-profile high profile combination in the County Championship.

Steve is expected to play three matches for Sussex. These matches will be away games against Worcestershire, and Leicestershire, and a home match against Glamorgan. After his recent game against Gloucestershire, Pujara said to Sussex Cricket, “Although I have spoken to Steve most of the time we played against each other. It will be exciting to have him on the same side. I will try to get his thoughts and also know him a little better.” Pujara admitted that it would be a mixed feeling for him to share a dressing room with a person with whom he will be involved in a tuff fight after three weeks.

Pujara said, “We have a good fight on the field as opponents but outside the field, we are good friends.” Pujara, who is enjoying a good season in the ongoing county cricket, expressed his feelings stating that the presence of Smith will influence the team. He further added that he will chat with Steve, and observe how he prepares himself. “After all Steve has a great experience. It will be nice to have his input,” said Pujara.
