Punjab FC is leading the ISL chart with 9 points and 3rd consecutive win.
Punjab FC’s winning streak continues, as they thrashed Hyderabad 2-0, on Wednesday. Pulga Vidal opened the scoring with a brilliant strike in the 35th minute, while Filip Mrzljak secured the win with a well-placed goal in the 71st minute, sealing Punjab's dominance on the field.
Hyderabad started their attacks early on in the game however, Punjab FC seemed well organised from the very beginning. In the 12th minute, the Hyderabad FC had a freekick and a good opportunity for the first goal. Chhunga took the kick and beat the defense wall, however, Ravi Kumar of PFC saved the ball.
In the 35 minutes, Pulga turned a free-kick opportunity into a goal! Gurmeet tried to save but the ball went into the net with a left-footer. The powerful attacks were seen by the HFC but they couldn't turn that into a gaol.
In the 58th minute both the teams substituted players as PFC substituted Leon Augustine and Ricky Shabong for Pulga Vidal and Vinit Rai. Hyderabad sent in Abhijith PA and Allan de Souza for Cy Goddard and Ayush Adhikari.
Filip Mrzljak made the winning streak as shot a deflected ball into an empty net in the 71st minute.
However, more bad news for HFC as he was shown a Red Card in the 79th minute as defender Leander D'Cunha got booked for the second time for a late tackle on Ricky Shabong. They have to play the next match with 10 members.
