Punjab Kings defeated Rajasthan Royals by 5 runs in the Indian Premier League clash in Guwahati.

Punjab Kings maintained their winning run as they defeated Rajasthan Royals by 5 runs in the Indian Premier League clash in Guwahati. Leading the side from the front Dhawan scored an unbeaten 86 runs which helped Punjab to pile a total of 197/4 runs in 20 overs after they were invited to bat first. Apart from Dhawan Prabhsimran 60(33) too played his part and as the opening pair added 90 runs. Dhawan added another 50-run partnership with Jitesh 27(16).
RR in response send R Ashwin to open alongside Jaiswal, however, the experiment failed. RR lost quick wickets in power play before Sanju Samson gave a good fight scoring 42(25) runs. Nathan Ellis took 4 wickets and kept things under control for Punjab until some lusty blows by Hetmyer 35(17) and impact player Jurel 32*(15) kept Rajasthan in the hunt. But Sam Curran bowled an exceptional final over to bring two vital points for his side.
