Punjab FC makes their ISL 2024-25 debut with a thrilling 2-1 victory against Kerala Blasters. 

The first half saw a slow and frustrating pace, with few significant chances. The closest moment came when Bekenga found the back of the net in the 44th minute, only for the assistant referee to flag for offside, crushing Punjab FC's early celebrations. Despite five minutes of added time, the first half ended goalless.

Punjab FC finally made their first net at 88 minutes. Luka Majcen made the shot from the left corner and Sachin, the Blasters goalkeeper remained as a mere spectator of this magnificent goal. 

Kerala Blasters found an equalizer just two minutes into stoppage time, with substitute Jimenez delivering a well-timed strike that brought the game level.

As the match was heading for a draw, Punjab FC midfielder Mrzljak ensured Punjab’s win for the match, in 90+ 5 minutes.
