Purba Lachenpa has no time to think about that as his upcoming season is near. He is solely focusing on being Mumbai City FC’s goalkeeper.
Purba Lachenpa the Mumbai City FC’s footballer is no doubt one of the most talented goalkeepers in the Indian Super League (ISL). After bagging the 2023-24 season Golden Glove he started a new journey with the Spanish manager Manolo Marquez.
The talented keeper has shown his performance in Mariner since 2020. He is yet to show his performance in the national team as he is overshadowed by Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.
However, Lachenpa has no time to think about that as his upcoming season is near. He is solely focusing on being Mumbai City FC’s goal blocker. In an interview with News18, when asked about his practice and if any changes he wants to adhere to his performance. The keeper confidently replied that he was not looking forward to any wholesome change but rather small changes that were necessary.
Answering the question about representing the national team, he repeated his commitment to the upcoming season, however, if the team calls for him he will always be ready to give his all to the national team.
“I’m always ready, to try and give my best, always try to work hard, whether it’s for the country or my club. But it all depends on the coaches, what they want from their goalkeeper or what they want from their players. Technically, whether I fit on their plans or not, it all depends on their coaches. So yeah, for me, I always try to give my best, whether it’s for my country or whether it’s for my club all,” - Lachenpa shared.
