In a short burst of 13 overs, Gabba witnessed rain twice. First was after 5.3 overs and the next one came after 13.2 overs. 

The match had to be stopped following torrential rain as Australia are batting with 28 without losing a wicket at the rain break. Eventually early lunch was taken. 

In fact, such was the situation, that the post-lunch session was also delayed. Things are not looking great for now.

India won the toss and opted to field against Australia in the third Test of the five-match series at The Gabba, Brisbane. It could be a series-deciding game as both the teams are level at 1-1 with Australia making a remarkable comeback through the pink-ball Test that took place in Adelaide.
