Ranji Trophy Semifinal / Tiwary to keep Bengal on top, Madhya Pradesh in trouble
Bengal made going to the Ranji Trophy final smoother. Bengal have been put in a strong position on Day 3. It is only a matter of time before Manoj Tiwari plays in the Ranji final again after two years.
On the third day of the match in Indore, the Bengal bowlers bowled out the previous champion Madhya Pradesh for 170 runs in the first innings. Pacer Akash Deep (5/42) brought Bengal into the match with impeccable bowling. Shahbaz Ahmed (2/30) bowled well. Manoj Tiwari's team lead by 327 runs at the end of the third day. Sudeep Kumar Gharami and Anushtup Majumdar Majumdar are in action. At the end of the day, Bengal scored 59 runs with the loss of 2 wickets.
Bengal has a record of losing three Ranji finals. Bengal lost in 2006, 2007, 2020 Ranji Trophy finals. Bengal became champion only once in Ranji. In 1990, Bengal won the Ranji by defeating Delhi.
