Raza accuses BCCI of showing partiality to Indian team again

He stated that he observed one such manipulation in Sunday's match when van der Dussen was dismissed

Despite facing criticism for his earlier remarks that ICC or the BCCI is giving special balls to the Indian bowlers, former Pakistani cricketer Hasan Raza made another shocking statement on Sunday after India's record 243-run win against South Africa in Kolkata.

Raza, on a Pakistani TV channel ABN, alleged that BCCI has been manipulating DRS throughout the ongoing ‘Home’ edition of the World Cup and that has been the key to India's success. He accused that he has noticed one of such manipulations during the Eden Gardens clash. He took the example of Rassie van der Dussen's dismissal in the match to explain his "expert opinion". The player of the match on Sunday, Jadeja picked up a five-wicket haul and scripted his best-ever bowling figures in ODI history.

"Jadeja picked up five wickets and finished with career-best figures. We were talking about technology where DRS was being taken. Van de Dussen was the batter and the ball was hitting the middle stump after pitching on leg stump. How is that possible? The impact was in line, but the ball was headed towards the leg stump," he accused.

According to him, DRS being manipulated is clearly visible and things should be checked.

He went on to say that India had manipulated DRS in the World Cup match between South Africa and Pakistan as well. In the match Tabraiz Shamsi was given not out on Haris Rauf’s delivery when the match was hanging in the balance. Raza claimed, “It was not the first time. The review in the match between Pakistan and South Africa and the last wicket partnership. They did not even apologise. Home conditions and home advantages come into play.”

The former Pakistan player also stressed that India had manipulated DRS in the 2011 World Cup as well,  especially for the infamous incident involving batting legend Sachin Tendulkar and Saeed Ajmal.
