Rinku could not take Kolkata through, Lucknow Super Giants Qualify

During the pursuit of a formidable target of 177 runs on the sluggish pitch of Eden Gardens, the Kolkata Knight Riders made a promising start with Jason Roy leading the charge, contributing 45 runs off 28 deliveries. However, as the innings progressed, KKR encountered difficulties in the middle overs. Nevertheless, Rinku Singh once again emerged as the savior with an explosive knock of 67 runs off just 33 balls. Despite his remarkable performance, he was unable to guide KKR to victory. The team finally lost to LSG by 1 run as their innings collapsed to 175 at the cost of seven wickets.

Nitish Rana, the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders, won the toss and opted to field first. The Lucknow Super Giants had a slow start, losing a wicket in the third over. However, Prerak Mankad's contribution in the last two overs of the powerplay helped them gain momentum before he got dismissed in the seventh over. 

Vaibhav Arora took his wicket and went on to claim the crucial wicket of Marcus Stoinis in the same over. Lucknow Super Giants faced further trouble when captain Krunal Pandya and Quinton de Kock also fell quickly. Nonetheless, Nicholas Pooran came out swinging, delivering big hits and forming a partnership of over 50 runs with Ayush Badoni. Ultimately, Lucknow Super Giants managed to score 176/8 in 20 overs, with Pooran impressively scoring 58 runs off 30 balls.
