Rinzuala scores first hat-trick in I-League this season, guides Aizawl to win north-east derby

Rinzuala guided Aizawl FC to win the north-east derby by 3-1, scoring the first hat-trick in the ongoing I-league against Neroca FC on Tuesday at Kalyani Stadium. 

Neroca FC was leading by the solitary goal scored by Tarak Hembram, the promising United Sports midfielder till the 61st minute. 

Still, Aizawl FC did not give up and mounted pressure on their opposition riding mainly by Biakduaka’s speedy runs down the left to disjoint Neroca’s defence. 

Aizawl FC however, with the victory has gathered six points in three matches to sit in the fourth position in the League table while Neroca FC is languishing at the 12th spot with one point from their four matches so far.

 

 

In another I-league match on the day, Shillong Lajong FC, despite leading 2-1 till the 62nd minute was forced to split points playing out a 2-2 draw against Sreenidi Deccan at their home at SSA ground. Lajong FC is also struggling in the 10th spot in the League table with three points in three matches. Sreenedi however is in the third place with seven points after their fourth match so far.
