Mohun Bagan Super Giants are gearing up with full preparations for the upcoming matches. The Mariners, to showcase their full potential on the field, were seen practicing even on the off days of Durga Puja.  

While the entire Mohun Bagan had a break from practice during the puja festival, the three key Mohun Bagan players—Sahal Abdul Samad, Ashique Kuruniyan, and Alberto Rodriguez were seen practicing on Saptami and Navami. These three players were seen undergoing rehabilitation during the two days of the holiday.

Presently, Alberto Rodriguez is the key defence for the team. After being injured during the last match against Mohammedan, he hasn't practiced with the ball. However, with the derby approaching, coach Jose Molina is eager to have Rodriguez, at least, fit and available among the three players.

The first Kolkata derby of this ISL season is set to take place on October 19th at the Salt Lake Stadium. Following a commanding 3-0 victory against Mohammedan, Subhasish Bose and his teammates have steadily regained their confidence, setting the stage for a highly anticipated clash.
