Rohmingthanga’s world-class strike in the 91st minute steered Aizawl FC to earn its first victory in the I-league against fancied Sreenidi Deccan at Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium Visakhapatnam on Tuesday. The Aizawl midfielder, while receiving a square pass from his teammate watched the opposition goalkeeper coming slightly ahead of his place and unleashed a magnificent controlled 45-yeard right-footed lob that beat the goalkeeper and entered the nets. 

Aizawl was already leading by R. Ramdinthara’s 26th-minute strike. This goal increased their spirit in the dying minutes as despite Rohmingthanga being sent off in the 96th minute on the second yellow, Aizawl FC looked spirited, especially their defensive organization did not collapse. Still, Sreenidi found the reducer through Pawan Kumar from a goalmouth melee. 

Sreenidi which won the last two matches are stuck at six points, still on the top of the table while Aizawl gathered three points from their two matches.
