Meanwhile, commenting on the Ballon D'Or award, which went to Spanish striker Rodri this season, Cristiano expressed dissatisfaction, calling it “unfair”.
Cristiano Ronaldo has defended Manchester United's new manager, Ruben Amorim, insisting the club's struggles are not his fault. Ronaldo, who has expressed interest in owning a club someday, believes he could resolve United's issues if he were in charge.
Amorim has faced a tough start, losing five of his 10 matches, including four of the last five in the Premier League. While admitting his job is under pressure ahead of the Newcastle game, Ronaldo, a former United star with 145 goals across two spells, blames the club's broader management, not Amorim.
"The Premier League is the most difficult league in the world; all the teams are good, all the teams fight, all the teams run, and all the players are strong. Football is different right now. There's no easy games anymore," stated the football legend at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on Friday.

"I said this one and a half years ago, and I will continue to say it: The problem is not the coaches.”
"It's like an aquarium. If you have the fish inside and he's sick and you take him out and you fix the problem and you put him again in an aquarium, they will be sick again.
"The problem of Manchester United is the same. The problem is not always the coach. It's much more than that. If I were the owner of the club, I would make things clear and adjust what I think is bad there.”
In a 2022 interview, Ronaldo criticised the Glazers for neglecting to invest in Manchester United, pointing out the club's outdated facilities compared to other top European teams.
Meanwhile, commenting on the Ballon D'Or award, which went to Spanish striker Rodri this season, Cristiano expressed dissatisfaction, calling it “unfair” that Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior was overlooked for this year’s prestigious honour.
The footballer stated, “In my opinion, he deserved to win the Golden Ball. It was unfair, I say it here in front of everybody, they gave it to Rodri. He deserved it too, but I think they should have given it to Vinicius because he won a Champions League.”
Since February, co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has taken charge of football operations, introducing a clearer hierarchy and implementing major cost-cutting measures. Ronaldo, meanwhile, has hinted at owning a "big club" soon, reiterating his concerns about United's management.
