Syed Sabir Pasha, the former India international is the first-ever Technical Director of All India Football Federation (AIFF). He recently returned from Frankfurt, Germany, undergoing Fifa's one-and-a-half-year course on Technical Directorship. The one-week training of the course named TLD was held at renowned German club Frankfurt FC in May first week.
The Technical Directors from each country in South-East Asia have been selected to graduate in the course following an extensive interview process.
Pasha speaking over the phone from Chennai divulged, "It is a great opportunity for me to go through this administrative course. We will again go to Argentina around December."
Pasha added meeting with Frankfurt FC Sporting Director Marcus Krosche, a former German under-21 international and also assistant manager at Bayer Leverkusen was memorable during the training at Frankfurt.
"We learned how to operate the programs from him. We even, learned from him in the classes how to convince the Federation's top brass regarding the implementation of football-related policies about national teams, youth development programs, and referring programs. It was a great experience, added Sabir.
The Technical Director also asserted that he wants to take the challenge of improving the operational part related to football matters. "Even I will try to convince the president and the secretary while making policies on any football-related programs in the future," concluded Pasha.
