This year's SAFF Championship is being held in India. This SAFF Championship is going to start on June 21 in Bangalore. The championship will continue till July 3. This important football tournament in South Asia is going to be held in India for the fourth time. The 2015 SAF Football Championship was held in Kerala. After seven years, the South Asian Football Federation (SAF) has decided to organize this tournament again in India.

All member countries of the South Asian Football Federation will participate in this tournament, according to the AIFF. The countries will be divided into two groups. After that, the first two teams from the two groups will go directly to the semi-finals. The last SAFF Football Championship was held in the capital of Maldives, in October 2021. India was the last SAFF champion. They beat Nepal 3-0 in the final. Nepal applied to be the host country of SAFF Football organized with seven countries in South Asia. However, due to the interest of sponsor organizations, India was finally chosen as the host country.
