Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh helped India win the second medal in the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024
Olympic Bronze medallist Sarabjot Singh sets short-term goals when asked about his plans for his future in shooting following the Paris Olympics.
Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh helped India win the second medal in the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024 by getting the better of the South Korean pair of Wonho Lee and Ye Jin Oh in the bronze medal playoff match of the 10m Air Pistol mixed team event.
Upon returning to India and receiving a hero's welcome, Sarabjot and the Olympic contingent are scheduled to have a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Independence Day.
“I have talked to the PM (Narendra Modi) multiple times now. At the Asian Games when I won, before these Olympics, and now after them as well, when he addressed the entire contingent. He always just told us to give it our best and not worry about the outcome,” Sarabjot stated to ANI.
When asked about his plans for the upcoming near future, the ace shooter said that setting short-term goals after taking some time off to recoup was of paramount importance.
"Now, Nationals and the Selections will begin for the upcoming World Cup. I will make short-term goals and make strategies for crucial future events which include the World Cup, Commonwealth Games, and the Asian Games. I'll be training once again around the end of September. For now, though, I am on a break."
The next upcoming event is the Shooting World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in New Delhi from 13th to 18th October.
