On Friday, June 23, BCCI released the 16-member list for the two-match Test series against West Indies from July 12. There were several surprises in the squad as Cheteshwar Pujara, who has been India’s mainstay in Tests, was left out of the list.

Further, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who had great domestic seasons along with impressive IPL, were also named in the list. Talking about domestic cricket, Sarfaraz Khan was again left out of the squad, which angered the fans and several cricket experts.

Cricketing pundits like Sunil Gavaskar and Aakash Chopra criticised the selectors for leaving out Khan, who averages 80 in domestic cricket. While several experts are weighing in their opinions, Sarfaraz broke the silence on his snub with his latest Instagram story.

The 25-year-old posted a picture of his backyard turf and wrote, ‘One love’. Interestingly the fans noticed the music choice, as Sarfaraz attached Lakshya movie’s title track, ‘Jo Lakshya hai tera’, which talks about achieving your aim in life despite several hurdles.
