Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan found himself in the middle of a controversy as some social media posts suggested that he was smoking inside the Eden Gardens premises during the IPL 2024 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday. 

Some pictures and videos suggested that SRK was smoking inside the VIP box in the stadium but NDTV was not able to ascertain the authenticity of the claim. The video went viral on social media and many users criticized him for his conduct during the match. 

A similar incident happened during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final when Imad Wasim was pictured smoking a cigarette inside the dressing room. An explosive half-century by Andre Russell helped Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) edge past Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 4 runs in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Saturday.

Henry Klaasen's 29-ball 63 went in vain as he took SRH close to victory but could not take them beyond the finish line.
