In the ongoing tournament, SMAT, He has scalped five wickets in six matches till now.

Mohammad Shami is stopping. The 34-year-old fast bowler is making his chances brighter to get a ticket for Australia to participate in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

After returning from a long injury interruption, Shami has been playing back-to-back domestic matches, and on Tuesday he finished with figures of 1 for 18 in 4 overs vs Bihar, in Rajkot, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Shami is regaining his groove gradually after playing more matches. In the ongoing tournament, SMAT, He has scalped five wickets in six matches till now. He captured 3 for 21 against Hyderabad. He had an injury scare on 29th November, when in the match against MP, he had a bit of a lower back issue.

Mohammed Shami, for now, is expected to continue playing in the SMAT, as long as he does not achieve 100 percent fitness, for the tough tour in Australia.

Meanwhile, it is certain that he cannot be a part of the Adelaide Test, which begins on 6th December. Instead, a realistic goal for him could be, to keep a return date set for the last two Tests.
