Chennai Super Kings are now at the second spot of the ongoing IPL table with 13 points in 11 games. CSK has lost two of the last four games while one game is washed out due to rain. While most of the other teams are around 10 points playing the same number or less, CSK is almost certain for a playoff spot. Rumors are around the corner that this may be the last IPL of the 41-year CSK skipper and former International. 

Former Indian coach, Ravi Shastri, has analyzed the reason behind CSK looking so dangerous and the 'Dhoni factor'. In an interview with the Cricinfo Shastri said, "He is the master of creating combinations. He has good intuition." Shastri added, "A player may not be good in 2022 but Dhoni has to foresight to believe that he may be good in 2023, thus giving him confidence in 2022." 

Shastri described CSK as a formidable side to reach a distance as it is a settled team and is almost certain in the playoff. The only probability which can prevent a good result of CSK is injury, according to Shastri. 

Former India and CSK teammate Suresh Raina reviled what Dhoni told him about his retirement in a recent meeting. Speaking to Jio Cinema, as quoted by Indian Express, Raina said that Dhoni told him, "After winning the trophy I will play one more year."
