Prithvi Shaw, the prominent opening batsman was dropped from the Mumbai Ranji Trophy squad. While the team management hasn't given an official reason for his exclusion, it's widely reported that the coaches are dissatisfied with his attitude toward fitness and discipline. 

According to reports from Cricbuzz, Shaw's indiscipline has become a significant concern for the Maharashtra Cricket Association. In response, the selectors and team management are dropping him from the Ranji Trophy squad to teach him a lesson. 

Shaw's late arrivals to net sessions have raised major concerns for team management. Reports suggest he is irregular, doesn't take sessions seriously, and is considered overweight, indicating a lack of discipline.

The report also states that the decision to drop Shaw wasn't solely made by the management and selectors; both the captain and coach were eager to exclude him from the squad.

As a skilled batter aiming to return to Team India through consistent international performances, Shaw is not helping his cause.
