Shikhar Dhawan the India Cricket star took to social media and announced his retirement from cricket on Saturday. The 38-year-old batsman wrote a heartfelt message notifying his retirement from both domestic and international cricket on “X”.
His last cricket match was against an ODI series opposite Bangladesh back in 2022. He lost his position to Shubman Gill. And this happened again to other younger batsmen.

"I am announcing my retirement from international and domestic cricket. As I bid farewell to my cricketing journey, I have peace in my heart. I played a lot for my country. I only say this to myself, that you don't need to be upset about not playing for your country again, but be happy that you had the opportunity to do so,” - Dhawan concluded the message in a bittersweet way.
