Shooters win sixth gold, Roshibina wins Wushu silver

The medal extended India’s medal haul at the Games to 23 medals.

Indian shooters Sarabjot Singh, Arjun Singh Cheema and Shiva Narwal won India's sixth gold medal of the Asian Games 2023 after finishing at the top of Men's 10m Air Pistol Team event. Sarabjot Singh and Arjun Singh Cheema also eye individual medals after qualifying 5th and 8th, respectively. Earlier, Wushu star Roshibina Devi won a silver medal in the Women's 60 kg final. Naorem Roshibina went down to China’s Xiaowei Wu with the judges ruling in favour of the local athlete after both rounds.

In the first round, Wu earned valuable points for a takedown. Roshibina tried to make inroads by clutching onto her opponent’s leg but was unable to push her off the mat.

The medal extended India’s medal haul at the Games to 23 medals.
