Due to some injury problem, East Bengal is unlikely to register the 34-year-old Spanish forward Iago Falque. Falque who represented Spain in the Under-21 category has been suffering from different types of injury since 2021, especially with severe muscular problems. He was plagued by a broken tibia and ruled out of the pitch for a long time in 2023. 

East Bengal team management, having gone through Falque's recent injury problems is unlikely to register the forward. In this case, Javier Siviero is likely to be retained and he will be seen partnering with Victor Vazquez on the pitch. 

However, East Bengal’s investor Emami Group revealed the company will build up a stronger team looking forward to the team’s success in the AFC Champions League 2 Prelims they have qualified after winning Super Cup.
