Mikel Merino’s Last minute goal knocked Germany out from Euro Cup 2024.  Julian Nagelsmann’s side missed numerous chance that cost Germany Out of this tournament. Spain Clinch The victory  by 2-1 goal after extra time in a dramatic Euro cup 2024 quarter final and sealed their place in Semi final. In a nail biting match both teams were desperate to score from the first minute of the match, But did not convert their opportunity into a positive one. Germany was in a dominating position from first of the match, even Sane, Musiala created few chances. But the Spanish defence denied them all the time. On  counter attack Spain displayed their classic passing football, but unable to break the dead lock of German Defence. First half was goalless.

The Spanish Brigade did not make any mistake to score in second half. On the 51st minute substitute Dani Olmo did not make any mistake in putting the ball in the net. Although that goal was not enough to stop Germany. As the time progressed  Julian Nagelsmann’s side processed pressure on the match. German coach send Thomas Muller few minutes before of final whistle. Germany brigade were desperate to equalize the score. Atlast one minute before the final whistle Florian Writz rescued Germany and the match went to the extra time.

Germany and Spain both team were delivered their full effort to grab a goal. Even Germany got few easy chances, but did not use them properly. This time Spain did not lose their opportunity and Mike Merino’s strong head sent them to the semi final clash. After this victory Spain became third team to win five matches in a row within a single edition.
