Despite of being called by Stimac, Shyamal Vallabhjee is likely to miss the preparatory camp of Indian team in Bhubaneswar. 

On Wednesday, while speaking with the Times of India he revealed, "My condition was that the dues had to be paid before I agreed to join. I have sent them the details but haven't been paid". He has been associated with the Indian football team for the last one year. Vallabhjee worked with the national team from the SAFF Cup to the AFC Cup, Intercontinental Cup, Merdeka Cup, Kings Cup and the World Cup qualifiers added, "I have been waiting for them to sort things out. I'm also a little upset that because of these issues".

Vallabhjee hasn't got his dues from AIFF. "I agreed to start work with the players in May 2023 for free for 4-5 weeks for the SAFF Cup. Post this, I refused to go to the camp now because I had no contract and they were not agreeing to my terms, I'm heading to Silicon Valley for lectures from Friday to June 1, so I won't be able to come before that. I made them aware of this commitment about 3-4 weeks ago and gave them a chance to rectify things. But no one responded", said the expert who had earlier worked with the Indian cricket team at the 2003 World Cup, Kings XI Punjab, Indian Davis Cup team and the Kenyan marathon team.
