Rozario feels David’s key strength is his game-reading ability and calmness.

David Lalhlansanga is already the 'talk of the town' in the Kolkata football fraternity after scoring 19 goals in the ongoing CFL Premier Division in his debut season with Mohammedan Sporting.

Once he revealed that whatever the basics of the game he learned was from his first coach Stanley Rozario.

David, the 21-year-old promising striker from Mizoram drew Rozario’s attention when he was a student of Aizawl FC’s youth development program.

Rozario, the 63-year-old Bangalore-based coach is aware of David's performance in the ongoing CFL Premier Division. While speaking over the phone from Bangalore Rozario remembered, "I first noticed him in 2019 in Aizawl FC. He was still a student of the club's youth development program. He was already potential at that time. The club's senior team had two foreign strikers including the Liberian striker Anshumana Kromah. Still, David proved his mettle in the state league.”

Rozario remembered, "He was very humble and intent on developing his basics. He worked on technique sincerely especially, he developed his first touch with extreme perseverance. I knew David would progress more in the senior level.”

Rozario feels David’s key strength is his game-reading ability and calmness. He explained, “He can read the game perfectly. That is why he can reach the exact position and score goals. It is not that he does not fall down to help defenders during opposition’s counter attacks. But he is basically a box striker and he will score more goals in near future.”
