Steve says boys’ inexperience and immaturity are the factor, director feels lack of proper planning

United SC after Wednesday’s loss, has garnered only seven points in seven matches.

The director of United SC Nabab Bhattacharya, dejected with the team’s poor show in the ongoing CFL Premier Division, is planning to sit with Steve Herbots for an exclusive discussion. United SC again lost to Peerless in their CFL Premier Division league match by a solitary goal, scored by Raikut Buam at Kalyani Stadium on Wednesday.

Nabab commenting on the team’s lackluster show stated, “There is lack of proper planning. I have to sit with the coach for an exclusive discussion. I am planning to sit after team’s next match against Mohun Bagan. We are now in a position to save relegation. It should not have been. The boys practice throughout the year and it is not that they are totally immature. So, coach has to make the way out through proper planning.”

United SC after Wednesday’s loss, has garnered only seven points in seven matches.

However, Steve Herbots held the boys’ inexperience and immaturity due to the poor show. He explained, “The average age of this team is 23 years. These boys have quality. They are energetic and sincere also.

The reflection is seen on the field also as we have dominated our opposition in the midfield, playing a lot of quality passes. If you talk about the quality of the Game or possession of the ball, I will say we played better than all the other teams in our group. But inexperience and immaturity are paying the price finally. Despite creating chances they are failing to convert. I believe these boys after two or three years will be mature enough."

Raikut Buam struck the winner for Peerless SC. Among the other CFL Premier Division matches, Army Red rode Liton Shil’s brace and Samir Murmu’s strike to edge past Tollygunge Agragami 3-1, and Kalighat Milan Sangha defeated Dalhousie AC 2-1.
