Stimac moves to Fifa against AIFF

After the Indian team failed to qualify for the World Cup 2026, the AIFF decided to terminate Stimac’s contract, thus begun the tussle between the Croatian coach the AIFF.

The never-ending battle between Igor Stimac and AIFF took a new turn. The former head coach of the India Football team has now dragged the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to FIFA as he lodged an official complaint about a contractual breach. He further applied to the International Football Authority body for the AIFF to pay his compensation till the year 2026, June.

After the Indian team failed to qualify for the World Cup 2026, the AIFF decided to terminate Stimac’s contract, thus began the tussle between the Croatian coach and the AIFF.

When asked, Stimac’s lawyer, Davor Radic answered “Our position is very simple. My client’s contract was terminated from the position of head coach without just cause. The compensation offered to the head coach by the national association is not acceptable and so we have approached the FIFA Football Tribunal,”.

Previously AIFF offered a three-month compensation to Stimac when he was sacked. However, after refusing the offer now he complained about AIFF claiming compensation.
