Apart from Rishabh Pant, Virat Kohli was the only player in the main XI who did not bat in the exhibition match between India and the Prime Minister’s XI.
Virat Kohli looked as usual 'spirited' during the Indian team's training at Adelaide Oval on 3rd December morning. He looked batting in the nets, regular arm-ups. Only during the team’s fielding session, it was noticed that the team’s medical staff was bandaging his right knee. He attended the fielding drill but not with the intensity he trained with the bat in the nets.
It is not sure whether Kohli has got any kind of injury. It might be that he got something as small as a bruise or some kind of discomfort.
The former Indian captain however has an outstanding record at Adelaide, the venue for the next Test match.
Apart from Rishabh Pant, Virat Kohli was the only player in the main XI who did not bat in the exhibition match between India and the Prime Minister’s XI. The warm-up match for the Pink Ball Test saw the two best batters of the Perth Test, KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal, come out to bat.
Rather Kohli decided to face Jasprit Bumrah in the nets of the Manuka Oval. It seemed like Kohli felt like a million bucks and didn’t feel the need to face the Australian bowlers. But this development could mean that he might be nursing an injury.
