Subimal Sinha, the player-manufacturer in a mission to strengthen supply-line for Bengal football

Sinha plays another crucial role. He plays the football agent's role whenever his students sign for any Premier Club.

He is a physical education teacher by profession and a teacher at Shaoraphuli Surendranath Vidyaniketan School. He has accomplished a Master's in physical education from Kalyani University, a coaching degree from NIS and even he has earned an AFC-C license.

He has produced several footballers in the last 12 years from Mankundu Sporting Club who have graduated to the mainstream of Kolkata football in different divisions including the Premier Division.

Mankundu Sporting Club which started its journey in 1943 has a bright past. The club played in the final of Chandannagar district for consecutive six times under Sinha's guidance.

Sinha revealed at least 12 footballers from this club are representing different teams in the ongoing Premier League. He mentioned a few names such as Supriya Pandit, Laltu Hembram, Tushar Hembram Sumit Ghosh who represented the under-19 national team, Aditya Hati, Saurav Sampat, Sujit Soren, Chandan Yadav and Asit Hembram.

Sinha does not take any remuneration from Mankundu Sporting Club. Following his initiative the club introduced medical insurance policy. He informed at least 15 of his first-team footballers have been enlisted under medical insurance. Several potential junior footballers have been scouted from the remotest villages across the districts by Sinha and nurtured.

The 47-year-old coach smiled and said, "You ask the players. They will describe to you how footballers are nurtured here at Mankundu Sporting Club. I also spend a lot from my pocket for the footballers."

Sinha plays another crucial role. He plays the football agent's role whenever his students sign for any Premier Club. He divulged, "My students do have any agent. I help them, signing an agreement as the witness. If they face any financial problems from respective clubs then I try to interfere and solve their difficulties."

Sinha wishes to strengthen the supply line for Bengal football soon. Welcoming the AIFF decision of restricting foreign players in the CFL Premier Division Sinha said, “I had students like Dilip Mondol and Gobinda Das who were truly potential and could shine in the mainstream football. But the financial crunch shifted their focus. Both of them wanted jobs badly and once they obtained them, they seemed to lose dedication.”

He added, "But it is a great decision and this decision should continue for at least the next five years to encourage potential footballers of Bengal and India. I also want to dedicate myself to producing more quality footballers who can shine in the Premier Division. I become the happiest person when my students take my name as their teacher."
