Sujit Bose is not one to settle down. The President of Sreebhumi Sporting Club remains proactive, as evident during the official announcement of the Manipal Sreebhumi Gold Marathon. His relentless focus on development is unmistakable, with the third edition of the marathon promising to be bigger and more grand than the initial two.

This year’s event includes a cash prize of ₹1 lakh for the athlete completing the 21-km race, along with additional prizes for other categories in both the male and female divisions, sparking enthusiasm among participants.

Speaking about the event, Bose shared, “This is all for the people. We organise it to motivate them. Of course, the cash prize adds an extra incentive for the athletes.”

He remains optimistic about the event's growing impact. Highlighting the participation, he remarked, “Last year, we had nearly 6,000 participants, including foreign runners. Although we started planning a little late this year, I am confident the numbers will surpass last year. Three Kenyan runners have already confirmed their participation.”

Additionally,  Bose also spoke about a significant development project close to his heart—the nearly completed ‘Gandhi Sewa Sadan’ hospital. “This hospital is a project I’ve been working on for a while. It’s aimed at serving the public and will soon be ready.”

When asked about the club’s preparations for the Indian Women’s League (IWL), Bose sounded confident. “Our team is well-prepared. The girls have been practicing rigorously, and we’ve already finalised deals with some foreign players to strengthen the squad.”
