Sumit Nagal took early break in the first and second sets.
Sumit Nagal of India created a sensation after defeating Alexinder Bublik of Kazakhstan, currently world no 27. Sumit is currently ranked 137 in the world. This is Sumit’s second grand slam main draw win after 2020 when he defeated Bradley Klahn in the US open.
The 26 year old Sumit defeated Alexinder 6-4, 6-2, 7-6(5) in 2 hours 38 minutes. Despite Alexinder’s ranking Sumit dominated the proceedings and took early break in the first and second sets.
