East Bengal with a back-to-back draw in two consecutive matches still has hope for a semi-final breather if they beat Aizawl FC in the last match and subsequently, Hyderabad and Odisha match ends in a draw.
The high-scoring match between East Bengal and Hyderabad FC ended fruitlessly as the two ISL rivals ended the match tied at 3-3. East Bengal took the lead through a Naorem Mahesh goal in the fourth minute but could not hold on to the lead as Hyderabad equalized through Feran Siviero in the eleventh minute. EB team dashed through the Hyderabad defense and took a 3-1 lead through Mahesh’s goal during the breather.
After half-time, EB’s defense surprisingly collapsed and Hyderabad equalized through Siviero and Abdul Rabeeh.
In the other match of pool B Odisha FC defeated Aizawl FC by a clear margin of 3-0
