Mohun Bagan Super Giants (MBSG) top brass might move to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) if the AIFF's appeal committee reduces the fine imposed on East Bengal, Delhi FC and Anwar Ali.
The Super Cup this season (2024-25) might be organized in the old format as it was held last season.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF), in its calendar, mentioned that the Super Cup would be conducted for seven-and-half months on a home-and-away basis from 1st October to 15th May 205.
But the clubs have reportedly been informed that the Super Cup might be staged between March and May next year. It is also learned that due to the AIFF’s ongoing financial constraint such plans are being designed.
However, the AIFF's newly appointed secretary Anil Kumar when asked about the issue, commented, "We are yet to finalize the dates of Super Cup. It is in the discussion stage."
However, the final phase of the ongoing third-division I-League will kick off on 20th September, featuring the top two teams from each group. The final match will be held on 30th September.
Diamond Harbor FC has qualified for the final stage of the third division I-League, winning their last group league match on 11th September at Naihati Stadium.
Meanwhile, it is believed that Mohun Bagan Super Giants (MBSG) top brass might move to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) if the AIFF's appeal committee reduces the fine imposed on East Bengal, Delhi FC and Anwar Ali.
