Suprakash Gargari, the former football secretary of East Bengal club died in Kolkata on Monday midnight. He was 81 years old and suffering from disease of old age. 

Gargari was a prominent football administrator in 80s and 90s. He recruited several noted footballers for East Bengal, snatching them from the grip of Mohun Bagan recruiters. 

Gargari was also a renowned cultural function organizer. He organized Lata Mangeshkar-show in Kolkata twice.
