Suryakumar Yadav disguises as cameraman, interviews Mumbai locals ahead of IND vs SL

The 'Surya Cam' of the BCCI recorded some interesting reactions from the fans

Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav,  added a refreshing and light-hearted touch to the lead-up of India’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match against Sri Lanka in Mumbai on Thursday, 2 November.

Suryakumar, popularly called ‘Mr. Indian 360’ due to his versatile skills, donned a full shirt, a mask and a hat to disguise himself and turned camera-man for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday. He went to the marine drive and engaged in light-hearted interviews with cricket enthusiasts.

Yadav asked fans questions about the Indian team and the unsuspecting fans shared their thoughts, unaware of the talented player's true identity. Several fans spoke about their favourite cricketers, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah and said positive things about the Indian team.

Yadav then asked fans about himself and received some interesting answers. A fan spoke to Suryakumar Yadav about his own batting and said that he hope to see him a little higher in the order. The fan further said that he was no one to comment on how he bats but hoped to see him do well.

Meanwhile, another fan mentioned that it was a joy to watch Surya bat and use his wrist to best effect. Then Suryakumar revealed his true identity, and clicked pictures with the stunned fan showing his playful side.

Playing in his first World Cup, Yadav, did well in the squad's last group stage game against England. In a situation where India's top order collapsed, Suryakumar Yadav scored a gritty 49 off 47 balls and contributed heavily to India's victory in Lucknow. Undefeated India is set to face Sri Lanka on Thursday, in their 7th group stage game.
