The Black Panthers register prodigious Junior Wadoo for U-13 league, father plans to send him to Europe

Junior Wadoo scored 36 goals in a Baby League in Hydebrad.

Even going to a shopping mall with his parents he takes a football, juggling it between his legs. He does not even care what his parents are shopping for. The neighbors can hear the sound of kicking a football whenever he is at home.

Sometimes his famous father gets irritated with the ear-splitting sound. Still, he is probably the proudest father when he watches his amazing ball control and shooting accuracy.

He is Mohammad Ahmad Wadoo, the son of Mehrajuddin Wadoo. The 10-year-old boy, a student of DPS megacity is already being called the prodigy, not recently but for the last four-five years.

Stephen Mendoza, the Columbian striker whose brace in the final guided Chennaiyin FC to clinch ISL title in 2016 was one of the best friends of Ahmad Wadoo, popularly known as Junior Wadoo.

As Mehrajuddin was one of the key members of that Chennaiyin FC at that time, his teammates including Mendoza became familiar to Junior Wadoo who drew the attention of Mendoza by his inspiring skill during the practice session. Junior Wadoo was four-year-old that time.

Mehrajuddin revealed, "Ahmad used to like Mendoza a lot and both were intimate friends. Then it was Elano Ralph, the Brazilian World Cupper who also was impressed a lot watching Ahmad's ball control at such an age. He started kicking the ball at the age of two. Then he roamed around the ISL clubs wherever I joined and football became his life gradually. I played for Mumbai City, Pune City FC, Hyderabad FC, Chennaiyin FC and he got the scope of practicing with all my teammates.”

After watching him training with the current footballers one day, Mohammedan Sporting officials have registered him already and Ahmad Wadoo will be representing the team in the Under-13 I-league.

His father divulged, "Ahmad first got admitted to a coaching center in Mumbai and there he received the 'hero' award. He was six years old at that time. I became quite confident that he has a bright future to settle himself as a footballer after he scored 36 goals in a Baby league in Hyderabad in 2019. I was signed for Hyderabad FC that year."

The defender's father also stands in front o his striker son and tries to stop him seriously during the training. Mehrajuddin disclosed, “It becomes tough even for me to stop him without a hard tackle. He is improving technically fast also.”

Mehrajuddin has plans to send his son to an academy in Europe in the future. "Let him settle for a couple of years more. Let him play for Mohammedan Sporting in the under-13 league. Then I have plans to send him to a top European academy for advanced training. My father was a footballer. I was also a footballer. I am happy that after me Ahmad will carry on the legacy."

Interestingly, Mehrajuddin’s two-and-half-year-old daughter has also started kicking a football.
