The new Committee of the East Bengal Club all in details

East Bengal's Opposition-Free Tradition Continues

For several years now, it has been a recurring pattern, and this year is no different: East Bengal remains opposition-free. On Wednesday, the official announcement of East Bengal Club's new committee was made at Taj Bengal.

Senior Officials bench :

Murari Lal Lohia, president

“I got such a chair and I don't know what to do. But proud to be associated with one of the best clubs in Asia. I was an East Bengal supporter and remember watching Mountain Police. Devabrata Sarkar had good relations with Paltu Dar. I asked a few months ago if I could help and they honored me. I want to make East Bengal the best cup in Asia”

Kalyan Majumdar, vice president

“I have been in the club for 22 years as a secretary, and I have made many mistakes and become angry. But can't live without East Bengal. So I remained the vice president of the club. East Bengal Club is in my heart as long as East Bengal”

Along with other vice presidents Ajay Krishna Chattopadhyay, Shankar Bagri, Subhashis Chakraborty, Rahul Todi.

Pranab Dasgupta, consultant of president

“I have been East Bengal for 30 years. All good things come to an end. For the last 5 years I have been asking someone to replace me. To bring someone less qualified than me. I am very happy that Murali has been brought in. Paltu Dar was a good friend. He is also a big industrialist of our country. Really good stuff. As a consultant I will say less and listen more”

Executive committee bench:

Debbrata Sarkar, executive committee head

“I cannot take the responsibility of the opposition. Maybe because I do good work, the opposition is zero. Why not how can I say! I did not take responsibility for making them. And we have not done any work where the opposition will be created”

Jhulan Goswami, member of executive committee

“I never thought I would get such an honor. Thanks to all club members for this. I will try to help the club with my limited experience. I want the club to improve in all categories of East Bengal football, cricket team, hockey, tennis. Joy East Bengal.”

Along with other executive committee members Subir Gangopadhyay, Babu Bhattacharya, Siddarth Sarkar, Biswajit Majumdar, Aritra Roy Chowdhury, Tamal Ghosal, Benimadhav Bhattacharya, Molly Gangopadhyay, Debashis Bose, Biplab Pal.

Rupak Saha, secretary added,

“We will maintain the passion tradition of East Bengal Club. Financial difficulties will be overcome by this new committee. Better team in ISL by talking to investors we will do”

Joint Secretaries: Shantiranjan Dasgupta, Sadanand Mukhopadhyay

Football Secretary: Saikat Gangopadhyay

The new committee's formation marks another chapter in East Bengal's storied history.
