The Royals win, still needs to be dependent on others

Despite a tough start, Rajasthan Royals rode excellent batting from Devdutt Padikkal, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shimron Hetmyer to acquire a thrilling 4-wicket victory against Punjab Kings with only two balls remaining on Friday at the picturesque Dharamshala Stadium. 

Rajasthan Royals lost early wicket of Jos Buttler who suffered his fifth duck of the season. Then Devdutt Padikkal (51) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (50) came in rescue, helping Rajasthan to settle gradually. Still, Punjab Kings had the edge in the evenly poised game. West Indian batsman Shimron Hetmyer changed complexion of the match, taking his team closer to the victory through a rapid innings of 46 runs off 28 balls.

Earlier, Punjab Kings set a target of 188 runs in scheduled 20 overs for their opposition team. Sam Curran played a brilliant innings of 49 runs off 31 balls, including four boundaries and two sixes. Additionally, Jitesh Sharma contributed 44 runs and Shahrukh Khan remained unbeaten on 41 runs, making valuable contributions to Punjab's score. On the bowling front, Navdeep Saini stood out by taking three wickets for the RR team.

Overall, it was a collective effort from both teams, with the final outcome determined by the par score and Punjab Kings' poor fielding.
