UEFA has sought apology to Liverpool for the incident happened last year before the Champions League final.

The ruling body of European Football, UEFA has sought apology to Liverpool for the incident happened last year before the Champions League final. Several Liverpool fans could not enter into the Stade de France in Paris to watch the final that took place on 28th March. A massive chaos took place outside the stadium happened also. The police had to offer tear gas to disperse the frenzied crowd. The final was delayed by 36 minutes and Real Madrid won the match by a solirtary goal.

UEFA and French authorities said previously the chaos was caused by ticket fraud. They alleged that Liverpool fans rioted and due to their hooliganism the match started late. However, the review found no evidence. Rather, UEFA's mismanagement has been mentioned. The review also pointed out that a bigger disaster was narrowly avoided.A panel led by Portuguese parliamentarian Tiago Brandao Rodríguez released a 220-page review on Monday after a lengthy investigation, which in many places cited UEFA's shortcomingsUEFA General Secretary Theodore Theodoridis has apologized for the incident before the final and blaming Liverpool fans. From there they have been unfairly blamed for playing a role in creating a situation where the match started late."The review was leaked to several British newspapers hours before its official publication. Liverpool made a statement expressing disappointment again.
