Bengal women ensured their berth in the final round of the senior national championship for Rajmata Jijabai Trophy with a convincing 3-0 victory against Karnataka on Wednesday at the Krishnanagar Stadium. 

Kabita Soren struck a double while Sulanjana Roul scored the other goal. Bengal were unbeaten in ther group. 

Bengal coach Sujata Kar, although happy with the girls’ performance, feels the team need to have extensive preparation for the final round. “We are expected to face teams like Manipur, Goa in the final  phase. So the girls need extensive preparation to play against those teams,” said Sujata.
