Mohun Bagan in a letter has alleged IFA of partial act
An uncertainty looms large over the staging of CFL derby between East Bengal and Mohin Bagan, scheduled to be held on 30th November at Naihati Stadium. Mohun Bagan Club has sent a letter to the IFA, blaming the association's favoritism against East Bengal while scheduling the derby and the club in its letter has also mentioned that it would be impossible for the team to play derby on 30th as Mohun Bagan is scheduled to leave Kolkata on the same day play their away match in the AFC Cup match scheduled on 2nd December.
But IFA secretary Anirban Dutta has clearly mentioned on Tuesday that date will not be changed and if Mohun Bagan refuse to participate in the match it will be treated as the walk-over in East Bengal's favour.
However, Vinu George, currently East Bengal's senior team coach did not also sound happy with the scheduling of the CFL derby. He questioned on the justification of staging derby at a time when Mohammedan Sporting already won the CFL Premier Division league this season. He said, "The players should not have any motivation. The IFA should have completed the Super Six in its scheduled time."
