United SC earned crucial three points at their home-match of the ongoing I-League-2 defeating Sporting Clube De Goa by a solitary goal on Saturday at Kalyani Stadium. 

Tarak Hembram scored the winner in the 11th minute from the spot kick. Dipesh Murmu was chosen man-of-the-match. United SC, after their fifth match of the League, have garnered seven points and placed in the sixth position.

On the other hand, the League leader so far, Chanmari FC defeated FC Bengaluru United 2-0 in their away match, held in Bengaluru. After a barren first half, Chanmari FC took the lead through Paul Ramfanjouva in the 79th minute while KC Malsawmsanga doubled the lead in the dying minutes of the game. Chanmari FC have garnered 13 points after their fifth match to maintain the top spot. 

Meanwhile, East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, both won their respective matches in the AIFF Under-13 Sub-Junior League. East Bengal beat Bidhannagar Municipal Sports Academy riding on Sayan MOndol’s solitary goal in the 16th minute while Mohun Bagan defeated Bengal Football Academy 2-0 at the Adamas University ground in Barasat. Sagmnik Kundu and Kartik Hembram scored for the winners. 

However, Mohammedan Sporting lost against Adamas United Sports Academy by a goal on the day Ratan Biswas scored the winner.
