
In the RFDL, Odisha FC won 2-1 against United Sports Club, and Mohammedan Sporting Club's reserve team claimed a 3-1 victory over East Bengal FC.
United Sports Club triumphed 2-0 over Keinou Library & Sports Association in the 2024-25 I-League 2, with a standout performance from Sahil Harijan. Marking his return after a year-long injury recovery, Harijan opened the scoring in the 8th minute, capitalising on a defensive error. Just five minutes later, Tarak Hembram extended the lead with a precise strike.
Harijan’s goal earned him the Man of the Match award, highlighting his remarkable comeback. United controlled the match throughout, with solid possession and defensive play that stifled Keinou’s attacking efforts.
In another encounter, Odisha FC edged out United Sports Club 2-1 in a gripping Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) encounter. Kartik Hantal broke the deadlock for Odisha in the 49th minute with a stunning finish. United Sports fought hard, levelling the score in the 74th minute through Debasish Haldar. However, Kharon Subba's decisive 85th-minute strike sealed the win for Odisha, earning them a vital three points.
Meanwhile, in the fourth-round clash of the RFDL, Mohammedan Sporting Club's reserve team overturned a first-half deficit to claim a spectacular 3-1 victory over East Bengal FC at the Naihati Stadium.
East Bengal made an early breakthrough, dominating much of the first half and taking control of the game. However, Mohammedan roared back in the second half with an inspired performance. Bamiya Samad scored twice, while captain Lalngaihsaka added another to complete the dramatic turnaround, exemplifying the team’s tenacity and fighting spirit.
