Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has already announced the massive investment on the day, 2nd September, the derby between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan was played at KD Singh Babu Stadium. 

Mohammed Shahid, the secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Football Association, also echoed the state's Chief Minister's opinion, saying while speaking to Parallel Sports, "The state government will build 18 football stadiums and 827 football grounds in Uttar Pradesh. 827 football grounds will also be developed in every block across the state.”

He added, “The schools in every district have been asked to promote football. More significantly, nowadays, the players representing states and national teams are getting government services.”
