Virat Kohli, winning the toss, put KKR to bat first at the iconic Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday at match no 36 of the IPL 2023. Jason Roy (56), who was dropped twice, gave an explosive start and was backed up by captain Nitish Rana (48),  Venkatesh Iyer (31), and Rinku Singh which helped KKR to register a total of 200/5 in 20 overs.
Chasing a total of 201 runs RCB managed 179/8 in 20 overs. After loosing three quick wickets in the power play, captain Kohli (54) and Mahipal Lomror (34) stitched a fine stand for the fourth wicket to keep RCB’s hope alive. Varun takes 3 wickets as Kolkata defeats Bangalore by 21 runs
